Situation:
- Client was a business association representing a multi-billion industry
- Due to the oligopolistic nature of the industry (large share of market held by a small number of firms), membership levels were quite low
- The low number of members was seen as a challenge to the industry’s advocacy efforts – government officials had commented in the past that it would be difficult for them to act on the views of an organization that represented so few companies
- The organization had no one on staff with sales/marketing expertise

- Develop and executive a complete sales and marketing plan to increase membership levels
Result:
- Membership levels skyrocketed within the first year to 3 times their previous level
- Today the organization boast a strong membership base that spans the country, and has been able to leverage this to the point they are now regularly consulted by the government when setting policy
