Situation:
- Client was the largest holder of market share in their industry within Canada, but also wanted to improve their share of the export market
- Internal marketing department had identified some initial opportunity ideas, but lacked “the numbers” to substantiate their hypothesis, and had also determined that the answers they were seeking were not available in the public domain
B&A’s Solution:
- Develop am excel-based, customized market size model and accompanying management report
- This was done using a combination of primary and secondary research methodologies
Result:
- B&A was able to provide the client with the key information they were previously unable to obtain
- As a result a decision was made to proceed forward with the launch of a new product that now represents hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, and has played a key role in establishing the client as a viable and major player in the global marketplace
