Gary Breininger, President and Principal ShareownerGary Breininger

Gary Breininger is the President and principal shareowner of Breininger & Associates, and a proven expert in the field of growing and retaining profitable revenue.

His academic background includes a double major in both Marketing and General Business Management at Centennial College, York University’s Bachelor of Business Administration program and numerous continuing education seminars in the areas of marketing, market research, sales, strategic planning, logistics and project management.

Between 1984 and 1996 Gary held several positions of increasing responsibility in the corporate Marketing and Sales departments of Purolator Courier and United Parcel Service Canada including Marketing Analyst, National Accounts Manager, Ontario Divisional Marketing Manager, National Marketing Planner, Group Product Manager and Group Marketing Manager.

When Gary left UPS in 1996 he was the Director of Marketing for Canada, overseeing all aspects of the organizations marketing activity including marketing research, market segmentation, product development, pricing and channel management.  He also served as the head of UPS Canada’s cross-functional strategic planning team from 1993 to 1996.

Since launching his own company in 1997, Gary has assumed primary responsibility for the completion of hundreds of different client projects for companies as far away as South Asia, ranging in type from the development of strategic business plans to new product launches to market research studies of both a quantitative and qualitative nature, to sales revitalization programs plus much more.

Gary has also assumed various titles/positions for client organizations while serving in an outsource-based management capacity during this time including;

  • Vice President Marketing & Strategic Planning
  • General Manager
  • Director of Marketing and Sales Operations
  • Marketing Manager
  • Executive Director (of two leading non-profit business associations)

Gary’s strong academic background and practical experience have also been complemented by a number of corporate governance (Director) positions with several well known and highly respected organizations.

Gary’s knowledge of strategic planning, marketing and sales is also shared through the many speaking engagements he has been called upon to deliver at various industry conferences.

The common theme throughout Gary’s wide and varied background is a love of marketing, sales and strategic planning, as well as a strong dedication to delivering results.

A whitewater kayaking enthusiast, golfer and general outdoor-oriented individual, Gary currently lives in Brampton, Ontario.
